On Haitus
This is probably the longest break I have had on my blog... Yes, I am still alive, and no, I have not been abducted by any alien life-forms; I'll just kill them with the sounds I make with my violin if they dare to take me away from earth... On second thoughts, scrap that. I will probably appear stupid trying to play violin in space knowing well that sound waves cannot be conducted in vacuum.
That's right. I have started my long procrastinated violin lessons, and in the process of learning, I went back to working on Bach's Well-Tempered Klavier 1 on the piano. With the amount of time I spend on the 2 instruments I am left with very little time for any other thing except chatting with Yun on the MSN after 11 o'clock, and playing a bit of online games.
Violin's a frustrating and tiring instrument. I can play the piano for 3-4 hours straight before calling it a day, but with the violin... my left jaw and shoulder start to ache after an hour. What's more my teacher refuses to put finger tapes on the fingerboard to guide me on the pitching so I have to learn my fingering based on hearing... and at times like this I can only be glad I took piano lessons. Sighz...
